Our Thursday grooming run 2/25/2210 for the Sinks Trail was not done because the Snocat had to have its 300-hour service.

Off highway vehicles must be registered before transporting or operating on public roads or land. Registration stickers must be displayed (stuck on the machine) along with the month sticker. Do not carry them in your bag and think that is good enough. It’s not!!! The decals will stick on the tunnel and hood very well if the machine is warm when you stick them on. Placing them on the belly pan will get ripped off when riding in deep snow.
Anyone (Utah resident or non-resident) between the age of 8 and 15 must posses Utah Safety Certificate to operate a snowmobile, ATV, or Motorcycle in Utah. To sign up for a class call 1-800-OHV-RIDE.

There is lots of new snow in the Logan Canyon area, and still more to come. Wiper motor quit on me Sunday (1/24/2010), but we should have it fixed by Tuesday 1/26/2010. The trails we groomed last week are now covered over by at least 2 feet of snow, so this week it will be like starting all over again.

The snowcat blew a hydraulic line last Sunday, but we have it fixed now. We are still don't have enough snow to groom real effective. This last storm only put down a few inches of new snow. We are doing what we can.
On 1/6/2010 Beaver Creek was groomed.
Hoping to groom Swan Flat on 1/8/2010.
Still hitting rocks in the Sinks, Amazon Trail and near all trails heads.

While grooming on Saturday night the snowcat developed a hydraulic leak: Snowcat down until further notice.

We have tried grooming a few runs back on the 22nd 23rd, and 26th, but have suspended grooming until we get another 12 inches of snow. We have been hitting rocks and bending teeth on our tiller. We will see what this storm brings in this weekend. Maybe we can get out on Monday.

We have not started grooming yet. There is only 12 inches of snow by the Sinks, but in the higher elevations there is a lot of snow.
