2/27/2010 Hi everyone,
Tonight the Hell's Hollow loop was groomed. Trail conditions are great in the upper elev. but hard packed closer to the trail head. There is some ice starting to show at the East end of the gorge so be careful there, but we are in good shape every where else. Get out and enjoy the sun, today was a good ride hope tomorrow is the same..

2/25/2010 Hi everyone,
Winter is not over after all.....There was 4 to 6 inches of new snow tonight. I groomed from HWR, down Danish through the Gorge into Strawberry, Cottonwood trail (except for the last few miles, I had to leave some untracked snow) and back to the Ranch. Trail conditions look great for tomorrow. It was snowing (and blowing) while I was out so I don't know what the drifts will do. Get out and enjoy the new snow.

2/20/2010 Hey everyone,
Tonight the trail from the Ranch to Red spur was groomed. Conditions were great up top but nothing to write home about at the trail head...Keep new snow on your list.

2/15/2010 Tonight the trail from Hardware to Redspur was groomed. Trail conditions are great in upper elevations, but a little slushy at the Ranch. Temps at the trail head have been in the mid to upper 30's. A run through the Hell's Hollow loop is planned for Tuesday, so I'll let you know how things are holding up there on my next report.

2/16/2010 Tonight the Hell's Hollow loop was groomed. Don't let conditions at the trail head get you down, the snow improves in the upper elevations. Elk Valley and Mill Hollow were great as well as the Curtis Creek area. Put some more snow on your list to keep things going!

2/12/2010 Hi everyone, Tonight I groomed from Hardware to the turn around at Redspur and back. There is new snow around the Curtis Creek area that should make for great riding tomorrow, on and off the trail. It has been a little warmer at the Ranch so lower elevation trails could be a little tough to ride on. I have not been on the trail to Hell's Hollow since Wed. so I don't know what these small storms have put down. Get out and enjoy the snow and stay safe.

2/10/2010 Tonight the Hell's Hollow loop was groomed. Danish Dugway, Saddle Creek, The Gorge, Elk Valley, Mill Hollow, Hell's Hollow and back to the Ranch through Strawberry. Trail conditions close to the Ranch are hard packed with improvements in upper elevations. There is a little bit of new snow on groomed trails tonight, maybe an inch (better than nothing). A run to Red Spur is planned for Friday night.

2/7/2010 Tonight I groomed from Hardware to the turn around at Redspur. Trail conditions are hard packed with no new snow since Friday. I talked to some riders today that told me off trail conditions are getting better.(use your own judgment). Be sure to check avalanche conditions before heading out.

Tonight I groomed from Hardware down Danish, Saddle Creek through the Gorge x-country to Elkvalley (including Elk valley road) then x-country to Mill Hollow (packing run, not the best) to the the turn-around at the top of Hell's Hollow and back to the Ranch. Trail conditions are great butexpect drifts, as it was snowing most of the night with the windblowing. It snowed 8 to 12 inches today so conditions are improving!A run to Redspur is planned for Tuesday.

1/30/2010 Hey everyone,

The following is the grooming report for Jan 30,2010. Jan 29 groomed from Hardware down Danish dugway through the Gorge into Strawberry, from there I groomed the cottonwood trail and back to the Ranch.

I postponed the run to Hell’s hollow until Sunday night due to repairs on the snowcat so hopefully everything is running better for Sunday. Besure to check avalanche reports before you head out but other than that get out and enjoy the snow.

1/25/2010 Hey everyone, finally new snow at Hardware. Last night (Jan 23) I groomed to the top of Hell's hollow and back to the ranch. Tonight(Jan 24) I groomed from Hardware down danish dugway, saddle creekthrough the gorge, then back through the gorge, cross country to theguard station. This trail needs more snow to be groomed effectively. From there I groomed back through strawberry to hardware. There is lots of new snow and the sage brush is almost covered but aftertalking to other riders there is not enough base to protect you (or your sled) from the rocks, so be careful off trail! I'm planning a run to red spur on Tuesday if the repairs on the snowcat make it purr (verses hack hairballs) so if I go watch for my report on Wed.morning.

There is still notenough snow to groom the cross country trail and I have not yet gonedown Cottonwood.
