All runs start and end at the Monte Cristo Trail Head.  All runs are done at night.  This schedule is subject to change due to weather and/or mechanical problems.

The following areas were groomed this week:

  • Fri : 3/5 - SR-39, Wasatch
The avalanche conditions are considerable so be safe in the backcountry. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $20.00.

3/1/2010 Hi this is Jeff Steele your grooming manager for the Monte Cristo Snowmobile complex. This is the report for March 1, 2010.

As of March 1, 2010 there is 37" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 50" at Monte Cristo.

The following areas were groomed this week:
  • Thurs. : 2/25 - Curtis Creek Loop
  • Fri : 2/26 - SR-39, Wasatch
  • Saturday : 2/27 - SR-39
  • Sunday - 2/28 - ANT Flat, Wasatch
The avalanche conditions are considerable so be safe in the backcountry. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $20.00.

1/23/2010 As of January 23, 2010 there is 36" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 49" at Monte Cristo.

The trail has been groomed from the parking lot all the way up to Red Spur, Millies Spring, and Wasatch Ridge. As the snow continues, Ant Flat will be groomed in the near future. With the new accumulation, snow conditions are improving and makes for some great riding. The avalanche conditions have changed to high with the new snow accumulations so be safe in the backcountry. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $50.00.

1/16/2010 As of January 16, 2010 there is 23" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 31" at Monte Cristo.

The trail has been groomed from the parking lot all the way up to Red Spur. Ant Flat has not seen the snow cat this year due to the lack of snow. The snow cat needs 12 - 18 inches under it to operate safely. The trail out of the parking lot does have some pavement showing in areas up to dry bread pond but after that the snow pack does increase with only a few wind blown areas. There is a storm predicted for this weekend so lets all hope for the best. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $50.00. The season parking passes can be purchased at Willard Bay State Park and at the trailhead. The entrance fees are being collected at the trailhead.

1/9/2010 As of January 9, 2010 there is 25" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 33" at Monte Cristo.

The trail has been groomed from the parking lot all the way up to Red Spur. Ant Flat has not seen the snow cat this year due to the lack of snow. The snow cat needs at 12 - 18 inches under it to operate safely. The real bad news is that according to weather reports no new snow is expected for a while. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $50.00. The season parking passes can be purchased at Willard Bay State Park and at the trailhead. The entrance fees are being collected at the trailhead.

1/2/2010 As of January 2, 2010 there is 25" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 34" at Monte Cristo.

The snow cat has been parked for the week and will start back up tonight and be operated as to the schedule. We are still waiting for a big snow fall to get the season under way. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $50.00. The season parking passes can be purchased at Willard Bay State Park and at the trailhead. The entrance fees are being collected at the trailhead.

12/21/09 As of December 21, 2009 there is 21" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 27" at Monte Cristo.

The snow cat has been in operation. The snow cat has been working on packing the trails along SR-39 down to Arbs and over to Red Spur. There is still an inadequate amount of snow to safely run the snow cat on the other trails. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $50.00. The season parking passes can be purchased at Willard Bay State Park and at the trailhead. The entrance fees are being collected at the trailhead.
