We groomed today from the Salt Creek Gate to the tower hill and back down. Snow conditions are getting bad. This will be the last grooming run for this spring. I hope everyone has enjoyed the Nebo Trail this year.

We did not groom
on Tuesday March 2nd this week, because of minor repair work on snowcat
blade. Repairs completed on Tuesday 2nd. We groomed on Thursday the
4th of March. Payson Canyon was in the worst shape. We made two runs
from the bridge at Bennie Creek Trailhead up to Payson Lakes. On the
second run up we went to the Beaver Dam overlook and turned around.
There is no plan to groom this week because of training. The next
possible grooming day is Monday March 15th (Pending due to snow conditions).
There is still excellent snow above 7000 feet. Below it is hard and
melting fast.

We groomed the Nebo Loop Trail yesterday from the Salt Creek Canyon gate to the Payson Canyon gate and back. There was about 12 inches of new snow up on top. There was about 4-6 inches on the Salt Creek side. The Payson Canyon side had 3-4 inches. The new snow was a nice change. We plan to groom next week on Tuesday March 2nd. Enjoy the snow and the trail!

We groomed the trail yesterday on Tuesday February 16th. We groomed from the Salt Creek Canyon gate to the Bennie Creek Trailhead in Payson Canyon then back across. The trail is in great shape. On top there was new snow. The problem remains at the lower elevations. We have tried to smooth out the bumps from digging them out to pulling the piled snow on the edges back into the middle. The snow is just real crappy. Hopefully the forecasted snow for this week will fall down low and help the lower snow conditions.
We plan to groom next week on Tuesday February 23rd. Enjoy the trail!!!

We groomed the Nebo Loop yesterday on Tuesday February 9th. The trail is in great shape. Hopefully better than before we groomed. We groomed from the Salt Creek gate to the Bennie Creek trail head then back across. There were a lot of bumps down low in both canyons. We attempted to remove most of those bumps. With the lack of new snow it is getting harder to do anything with the trail where the bumps are really bad. We plan to groom again next Tuesday on the 16th of February unless the snowcat breaks down or we don 't get any new snow.

We groomed the Nebo Loop yesterday on Tuesday the 2nd (02/02/2010). We groomed from the Salt Creek canyon gate to the Payson canyon gate and back. We spent some extra time trying to get rid of the bumps on both sides of the loop on the lower sections of the trail. The snow is not very good on the Payson side below Payson Lakes. Up on top there is 3 to 4 feet of snow in places. The trail is in the best condition of the season. We do need some additional snow for riders to be able to get off and really have fun playing. We are planning to groom again next week on Tuesday the 9th. Have fun and enjoy the Nebo Loop!

We groomed the Nebo Loop yesterday on Tuesday the 26th of January. There was lots of new snow and some good snow drifts from Devils Kitchen to the Nebo Overlook. The Payson side got missed on new snow. It is getting had to groom the lower part of Payson Canyon. We will be grooming next week on Tuesday the 2nd of February. Enjoy the Nebo Loop.

We groomed yesterday Tuesday 19th of January. We groomed from the Salt Creek Canyon gate to the Payson Canyon gate and back. There had been a little new snow which helped improve the trail. Today's storm is adding to the snow up on the trail. There will probably be a few drifts on the Salt Creek side with the wind. We plan to groom next week on Tuesday the 26th of January. The trail is in great shape except down right at the Payson gate. Enjoy the trail!
Have fun snowmobiling and enjoy the loop!

We groomed the Nebo Loop yesterday Tuesday 12th. We groomed from the Salt Creek Canyon gate to the Payson Canyon gate, then back. The trail is in great shape, except on the Payson Canyon side. The snow has been melting and there is only about 5 - 6 inches. We need some new snow. We plan to groom again on Tuesday the 19th.

The trail was groomed yesterday January 5th. It is in great shape. We groomed from the Salt Creek Canyon gate to the Payson Canyon gate and then back. The snow is not very good on the Payson side and getting worse. If we do not get any new snow on the Payson side we will not be able groom the bottom part of the canyon below the Bennie Creek/Grotto Trail area. The are some bumps that we tried to get out but because lack of snow we could not. We plan to groom again next week on Tuesday the 12th.
Have fun snowmobiling and enjoy the loop!

We groomed the Nebo Loop yesterday December 29th from the Salt Creek gate to the Payson Canyon gate and back. New snow was falling as we groomed and additional snow is falling today. That should give riders plenty of good snow for riding. With the new snow and wind there will be some drifting. Watch out for that. We plan to groom either next week on Tuesday the 5th or the following week on Tuesday the 12th. If anyone has questions or concerns please contact us a Yuba State Park (435-758-2611) or www.stateparks.utah.gov.

The Nebo Loop was groomed yesterday on December 15th. We groomed from the gate in Salt Creek Canyon to the gate in Payson Canyon and then back (about 70 miles total) . The trail is in great shape. There is lots of snow on the Nephi side. On the lower part of the Payson side we need more snow. We plan to groom again on Tuesday December 29th.
